Avlu is a tense and dramatic story set in a women’s prison environment. We used many techniques to enhance the atmosphere and realism of the series. For example, details such as walls, fences, towers, and lights added to the background in the prison scenes made the violent and bloody scenes in the series. In these scenes, effects such as injury, bleeding, and bruising were added to the actors’ bodies in a computer environment instead of makeup or prosthetics.
